Recipe is set of instructions that allow that describes how to prepare a culinary dish. It usually consists of a few main things. Recipes can be found in various recipe cards, recipe books, recipes worked into needlepoint, and computer recipe databases, among others. Sometimes, it also includes the variations of a traditional dish, to give different tastes of the same recipes.

Certain recipes also include the duration of keep for the dish and if it is suitable for freezing. It also includes the nutritional information of the dish to be prepared, like; calories per serving and grams of protein, fat, and carbohydrates per serving, etc. It also includes the specific pan size to be used, along with a chronological list of ingredients to be used. A recipe< includes specific garnishing or serving advice along with handling requirements. It can also include formula for preparing or using a medicine.
