Cuisine is influence by climate, economic conditions and religion

Cuisine is a word derived from the Latin word coquere, which means to cook. Hence, cuisine is a set of cooking traditions and practices which are often associated with a specific culture. It is generally named after a region or a place, like; French cuisine, Indian Cuisine, and others. Cuisines are primarily influenced by the ingredients which are available locally or through trade. The cuisines are also highly influenced by religious food laws.

There are traditional cuisines that are coherent tradition of food preparation which are initiated from the daily lives and kitchens of a people over an extended period of time in a specific region of a country. It has notable distinctions from the cuisine of the country as a whole. Cuisine factors climatic conditions, which in large measure determine the native raw materials that are available to the cook; economic conditions, which regulate trade in delicacies and imported foodstuffs; and religious or sumptuary laws.

The global cuisine is traditionally divided into regions according to the common use of major foodstuffs, especially grains and cooking fats. The choices of ingredients vary from region to region depending on the availability of food products.
